The suspected killer of Major General Mohammed Shuwa (rtd) has been arrested. Shuwa who was a key figure in the 1960s civil war, was shot dead by unknown gunmen at his home in Maiduguri in November 2012. Four gunmen believed to be members of the Boko Haram sect, entered his house and opened fire at the 79 retired general and his guests.
Shuwa died while he was being rushed to the hospital while his guest died on the spot. Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Sani Usman, announced the arrest of Shuwa's suspected killer on
his Facebook page this afternoon.
