The 2016 edition of the Annual Music Awards that aimed in recognizing and honoring the best in Black music and entertainment, Soul Train Awards was held couple of days ago, on November 6th, and later aired on Centric and BET few hours ago, precisely on Sunday 27th November 2016.
The award that was held at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, was hosted by an American singer-songwriter, record producer, activist, and actress, Erykah Abi Wright, better known by her stage name Erykah Badu.
Top of the winners list was the multi award winning "Lemonade" mastermind, Beyonce. She emerged winner in four categories as her "Lemonade" album hit track "Formation" earn her both "Song of the Year" and "Video of the Year" award. She also won the award for "Best R&B/Soul Female Artist" and lastly "Album of the Year" with "Lemonade.
Bey was closely followed by Fat Joe & Remy Ma, for their combines effort in "All The Way Up" which emerged winner in two categories; "Best Collaboration" and "Rhythm & Bars Award (Formerly Best Hip-Hop Song of the Year)".
Other winners for the award gala includes Chance The Rapper, Maxwell, Kanye West, to name but few.
