The 2016 Edition of the Music Of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards is now in the past. The grand finale of the highly prestigious award ceremony was held day before yesterday, being 4th November, 2016, a week after the Pre-Award night show that saw five nominations awards given, which includes "Best Africa Act", "Best RnB/Soul Music", "Best MOBO Unsung", "Best Gospel" and "Best Jazz".

The award night which was hosted by radio DJ and television presenter, Rickie Haywood and his co-television presenter, Melvin Odoom, received great performance from the slated performers for the night, with the likes of Tinie Tempah, Legendary Craig David, Jamaican dancehall rapper, Popcaan and others like Anne-Marie, Chase & Status, Clean Bandit, Lady Leshurr and Laura Mvula.
The award night which was held in the city of Glasgow, Scotland, precisely at the SSE Hydro, saw the likes of Craig David, Popcaan and Drake emerged winner in the remaining nine category.
Best loser of the night happened to be the Nigerian-British grime singer, Tinie Tempah who lost to Craig David for "Best Male Act" and Abra Cadabra for "Best Song".
