StarBoy Supremacy as regards Africa Entertainment Industry continues to expand as the Records general, Wizkid receives another Awards for the continent.
The Nigeria born singer who have continued to be on the limelight for the current year, with lots of international collaborations - with the likes of Drake, Chris Brown, Trey Songz, French Montana, Tinie Tempah, among many others - to his name received another award to add to several other awards in his trophy cabinet this year.
Just few days after his massive win at the recently concluded 2016 MTV MAMA Awards and 2016 AFRIMMA Awards, the "Shabba" singer emerged winner for the sole category for Africa at the 2016 MOBO (Music Of Black Origin) Awards.
The real StarBoy Wizzy was announced winner for the "Best Africa Act" category at the Pre MOBO Awards yesterday night at the Cadogan Hall in London, UK.
Other awards given for the night includes "Best RnB/Soul Music", "Best MOBO Unsung", "Best Gospel" and "Best Jazz".
"Best RnB/Soul Music" was won by Notting Hill singer, Shakka, Guvna B, a UK-based Urban contemporary gospel rap artist and composer, for "Best Gospel", Alika for "Best MOBO Unsung" and the award for "Best Jazz" went to Esperanza Spalding, an American jazz bassist, cellist, singer, and lyricist.
The grand finale of the award will be held in Glasgow on 4th of November, 2016 and will be hosted by the radio DJ and television presenter, Rickie Haywood and his co-television presenter, Melvin Odoom.
Performers for the night will include the grime superstar, Tinie Tempah, Legendary Craig David, Jamaican dancehall rapper, Popcaan, among many others.
Congrats to Wizkid who outclassed great contenders in Yemi Alade, Tiwa Savage, Olamide, Tekno and Mr Eazi to emerge winner.
