Twitter and Google have blocked the Niger Delta Avengers from using their platforms. Twitter suspended their account while Google deleted their blog.
A check on their official twitter page, @NDAvengers only reads; “Account suspended! This account has been suspended. Learn more about why Twitter suspends accounts, or return to your timeline.”
They have been using the account to announce their activities, which have negatively affected oil production in the country before it got suspended today.
The spokesman of the Avengers, Mudoch Agbinibo, has however confirmed the suspension of both
platforms and informed people thus on Facebook;
“Notice! This is to bring to your notice that our twitter handle @http://www.twitter.com/@ndavengers has
been suspended and our blog @http://ift.tt/29sXJJs disabled.
“We use this medium to appeal to our fans and supporter to be very careful with any website or twitter claiming to represent us. We shall launch new accounts soon! We must continue the struggle!!!”
