MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A Minnesota attorney says there could be another heir to Prince's multimillion-dollar estate.
In documents filed Friday, attorney Michael Padden says a man who's been widely described as Prince's half brother, Duane Nelson, had a son, who in turn had a child. Nelson and his son have died, but Padden says the child could be an heir.
Padden says he tried to reach the child's mother, but was unsuccessful. He asked the court to appoint
a guardian ad litem if the child's mother doesn't obtain an attorney soon.
Prince died on April 21 at age 57.
At least one man claims to be Prince's son, but without confirmation — and unless a will turns up — Prince's sister and half-siblings are first in line to inherit his estate.
