Postgraduate students of Ekiti State
University have been
assured of completing their programmes on
schedule.
The
Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor
Samuel Oye
Bandele made the declaration at the
matriculation
ceremony for post graduate students on
Tuesday 23rd
February, 2016 held in the O’dua auditorium if
the
institution.
Professor Bandele said that all immediate
and remote
causes of such delay of programmes were
being addressed
in order to rebrand the College of
Postgraduate Studies.
However, the Vice Chancellor noted that
some students were
part of the problems. He said “Let me stress
here that while
the University is striving tenaciously to
eliminate causes of
unnecessary extension in Postgraduate
programmes which
may be linked to her, Management is not
oblivious of the
fact that students occasion more of the
delay”.
The students were enjoined by the Vice
Chancellor to get
their priorities right in order to avoid
unnecessary extension
of programmes. He assured that the
university would leave
no stone unturned to ensure that students’
expectations in
terms of quality academic content and
superb mentoring
were met.
The Registrar of the University, Mr.
Emmanuel Ogunyemi
administered the matriculation oath on the
students at the
occasion.
