Celebrate Everyone! Leonardo DiCaprio finally won his first Oscar 8,054 days after first nomination

Finally, Leo got the recognition he deserves last night – other than his lucrative, 27-year career and A-list red carpet status.

At the 88th Academy Awards on Sunday night, Leonardo DiCaprio got to take home the coveted Oscar for Best Actor for his excellent portrayal of real-life in The Revenant.

DiCaprio received a standing ovation as he picked up his award, coming after five acting nominations and one nomination as producer of best picture nominee Wolf of Wall
Street, and 22 years since he was first nominated for an Academy Award, having been nominated for best supporting actor for What’s Eating Gilbert Grape

Leo had to wander the woods, wrestle bears and sleep inside a horse to make it to the top, but it was all worth it to finally get his golden prize.
