Accord to Tiwa herself, ‘I met Teebillz in Los Angeles at a Timaya concert actually and I was at that time looking for a manager and he didn’t listen to my CD I had earlier sent him unfortunately. So when I saw him, I was a bit angry, I was like I dropped my songs a few weeks ago and I am the next big thing and you are missing out…and he was like, wow, calm down, who are you?And then funny enough the next thing he said was, I am going to marry you’.

Now the rest is history.

Olamide and Aisha Suleimon

Olamide and his baby mama

Many have agreed that Olamide’s 2015 balad, ‘Melo Melo’ is one of the rapper’s best recording of all time. Perhaps this is because like many of his songs, it is a true life story. With all the street braggadicious attitude the rapper is known for, fans do not know that Olamide has a soft side when it comes to his love interest. The song was dedicated to her and all the years she supported him and was loyal to his hustle. The young couple welcomed their first child, Maximiliano in January 2015.

I have never met her before in my life and I said to the people in the room ‘ladies and gentlemen, this is the lady I am going to marry’. Everybody laughed. She looked at me up and down, hissed and left. Today, she is my wife and that was 27 years ago.’

Recent revelation has revealed that their romance started in 2009 after the lover boy pilot tweeted that Toolz was his crush.

Well it didn’t stop there, he spoke about it to his friend, Banky W who also had a thing for the OAP. Banky W eventually linked them and today the rest is history. The couple had their traditional wedding on January 30 and it was the talk of the town for days which preceeded it and afterwards.

D1 Adeneye and Caroline Adeneye

Dayo Adeneye and wife

He was always looking dapper with a cool mien while he anchored Primetime Africa alongside Keke Ogungbe but has now gone on to become the Commissioner for Information in Ogun state.

However one other aspect we totally love about D1 is his love life.  He has been married to his wife, Caroline for 16 years after dating for about two years.

The couple met through D1’s dad who introduced them to one another and the rest as they say is history.

However the ladies might need to note that Caroline has made it a rule not to check her hubby’s phone or read his messages…just saying though.

Omawumi and Tosin Yusuf

Omawumi and her hubby, Tosin.
In an industry filled with celebrities who prefare the toga of baby mamas and baby daddies, it was easy to tag talented singer, Omawumi one after she welcomed her first daughter Kamillah.

Little did we know that the ‘If you ask me’ singer and her then unknown baby daddy had more plans than what met the eyes. They have since been married and have welcomed their second child while Tosin continues to live his private life away from his wife’s stardom.

In an interview, Omawumi shared how the relationship actually took the path it did.

‘We wanted to make sure that we were getting married for the right reasons. That is the best way I can explain it. We were in love before we had a child together and we were still seeing each other after I gave birth to my first child. We wanted to be sure that we were truly in love because we really did not have time to get to know each other before I got pregnant.

‘When I got pregnant, he did the manly thing by standing by me and supporting me. We did not want to get married until we were very sure that it was what we wanted. I would have felt bad if we got married because we have a child together and end up hating each other eventually. We had to be sure it would work out and I am very happy that it worked out.’

Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde and Matthew Ekeinde

Omotola Jalade and husband
Screen diva, Omotola remains the ideal wife every Nigerian female celeb aspire to be like.
The ‘Ije’ star has been and has been for 20 years in an industry where marriages pack up almost as soon as it is consummated.

She however once revealed that she might have remained unmarried if she hadn’t been hooked at her early age.

‘If I hadn’t been married earlier, I probably would not be by now. I don’t know if any other man would have been able to handle me the way my husband has done. It is not because I am a bad person. I am actually a very strong woman. I consider myself to be lucky to remain married,’ Omotola disclosed.

…Too sad Wizkid and Tania Omotayo fell off this list after their breakup was revealed weeks ago.
