Van Gaal agrees transfer for English player, Man Utd fans react - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
Manchester United have agreed a deal to send young England striker James Wilson out on loan to Brighton for the remainder of the season.
Wilson is highly rated at Old Trafford and the fans will not be happy with the deal especially now that Manchester United are struggling to score goals.
The likes of Martial and Rooney have struggled in and around the box and Wilson was expected to be an impact player for the Red Devils this season.
However, Van Gaal is prepared to allow the youngster to continue his development by playing regularly and has therefore loaned him out to the Championship club.
Wilson was a man in demand and Brighton had to fend off interest from 12 Championship clubs in order to land the highly talented Manchester United frontman.
Manchester United fans have been disappointed with Van Gaal’s style of play this season and will be further displeased with his decision to not give Wilson a chance at the club.
It seems Van Gaal has a lot of faith in Wayne Rooney, Martial and Depay and is willing to continue with them for the rest of the season.
Or could this be sign that Van Gaal is lining up a January move for a striker? time will tell.
Meanwhile, unhappy Manchester United fans took to Twitter to express their thoughts on the Wilson transfer.
James Wilson out on-loan to Brighton for the rest of the season, leaving Rooney, Martial and Fellaini as United’s strikers… blimey.
