Just last week, following the visit of
APC presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, to Lagos, the APC entered
into a war of words with a former minister and PDP chieftain in Lagos,
Musiliu Obanikoro.
The cause of the disagreement was the
claim by Obanikoro that Buhari was stoned in Lagos when he visited. The
APC insisted that nothing of that nature happened.
However, Obanikoro used his response to
the APC to make a further point. He wondered why the Oba of Lagos would
openly fraternise and endorse the APC and its candidate. He said: “Under
the APC, our monarchs in Lagos have thrown caution to the wind,
becoming openly partisan. I will leave my thoughts on this for another
day, however I strongly believe such unethical, irresponsible and
untraditional practices will come to an end when Governor Jimi Agbaje
resumes office.”
Apparently, Oba Akiolu is not the only
openly partisan monarch. In Oyo, the Alaafin has also endorsed the APC.
In fact, he allegedly donated 20 motorbikes to the APC. Amazing!
Here’s the monarch ‘testing’ the bikes with two of his beautiful wives.
