Bobbi Kristina Brown was set to be arrested for missing a court hearing

Bobbi Kristina Brown was set to be arrested before she was found "unresponsive" in a bathtub.

Judge Lee Whiteside issued a bench warrant for the immediate arrest of the 21-year-old aspiring singer two days before she was discovered unconscious at her home in Atlanta, Georgia last Saturday, after she failed to attend a hearing at the nearby Alpharetta Municipal Court.

According to the warrant, obtained by MailOnline, Bobbi, who is the daughter of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, skipped a court appearance on 14 January to answer traffic violation charges after driving her luxury Lexus IS250 sports car with an expired registration last September.

The offence usually carries a maximum penalty of a $2,500 fine, but Bobbi would have been jailed upon her arrest for 72 hours because she failed to attend the hearing.

A source said: "It is a minor charge but not appearing in court is a serious offence. Because she never showed up she would have been sent straight to jail when she was arrested."

Alpharetta Police Department confirmed in a statement that they have now dismissed the warrant due to "recent events.'

Spokesman George Gordon said: "I confirm the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety had an active warrant from Ms Bobbi Kristina Brown."

Bobbi's cousin, Jerod Brown, recently admitted her doctors have no "hope for change" in her condition, amid speculation her family have been urged to turn off her life support.
