Referent Master
The Referent Captain is responsible and accountable for improving the
competency level of seafarers. His/her mission is to implement effective
methods to train, evaluate and enhance performance of seafarers through
company and other training programs. This will in turn develop highly
trained seafarers.
In order to achieve this you will be in charge of the following:
Conduct Company Training Needs
Conduct essential trainings on board
Provide support to Department Managers in responding to training requirement by clients
Keep informed on legislation impacting the company’s training obligations
Monitoring training record of shipboard personnel to ensure that they are updated
Assess competence and performance of Seafarers
The position reports to the Operations Manager
