Reminisce hates being called an 'Indigenous Rapper'


Rapper Reminisce has said that he hates being called an  indigenous rapper, reports HipHopWorld Magazine

Rappers like Olamide, Reminisce, Phyn, Seriki, BaseOne have been called indigenous rapper by the media and fellow rappers because they sing in their local languages.

These rappers throw punchlines with Nigerian languages and make it meaningful to their teeming fans.

In a recent interview the rapper clears air on the indigenous or local rapper tag on them when asked to talk on how the endorsement has been coming for him and his fellow indigenous rappers.

Reminisce said that the tag is a way of suppressing or make them feel inferior.

He said that because Ghanaian rapper  Sarkodie is a raps in Twi no one refers to him as an  indigenous rapper.
