The 324 day-marking of the calendar, which mainly resonates with the station’s location on the cable DStv platform, is therefore the station’s one year anniversary.
And with today, September 26, 2014 marking the 324th day since the station began transmitting on Channel 324 on DSTV.
The station, led award winning content producer and entertainment aficionado and broadcaster, Ayo Animashaun is throwing its doors open today for a grand party in celebration.
A visit to the station’s head office located on No 24, Ogudana Street Allen Avenue, Ikeja Lagos reveals a party ambience as the Red Carpet is already laid, with music blasting from loud speakers as food and drinks flow in abundance.
Celebrities are expected to troop into the station today to felicitate with the station as well as grant interviews on the remarkable journey of Hip TV in the last 324 days.
The celebrations would drag till late in the night with an after party slated for the new MVP Lounge in Lekki, Lagos with the launch of the lounge also taking place tonight.
