Man United News: 36 goal target agrees deal, Argentine's transfer planned - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
Manchester United target Robert Lewandowski has agreed to a new deal with German champions Bayern Munich.
According to reports from Germany, Lewandowski will extend his stay at the Allianz Arena until 2021. The former Dortmund star has been in sensational form this season and will be hoping to guide his side to Champions League glory.
Manchester United were linked with a move for the Poland international since last summer and were expected to make another move at the end of this season.
However, Lewandowski signing a deal more or less ends Manchester United hopes of landing him anytime soon.
Carlo Ancelotti, the new Bayern Munich manager will also be delighted to know that Bayern Munich’s best striker will be at the club when he takes over next summer.
Lewandowski is one of the best strikers in the world right now and has scored 36 goals in 39 games this season. He has been the most consistent striker in the world over the last five years and has scored a total of 155 goals during that period.
Meanwhile, it is being reported that Manchester United are ready to get rid of their Argentine defender Marcos Rojo.
The versatile defender joined Manchester United for 16 million pounds back in 2014 and will be allowed to leave at the end of this season.
Rojo has struggled to perform under Van Gaal and it seems unlikely that he will be given a chance under Jose Mourinho next season. The Portuguese is expected to take over at Old Trafford this summer.
