WTF? Boko Haram leader makes TIME Most Influential People list

Is this a joke? Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau made TIME magazine 2015 Most Influential People list. Why is a terrorist in this list? Below is what TIME wrote about Shekau...
Most Americans do not yet recognize his name, but the citizens of Nigeria, Africa’s most populous country, know Abubakar Shekau all too well: he is the most violent killer their country has ever seen. Shekau took over the terrorist organization Boko Haram in 2009 after the group had been weakened by Nigerian government forces. Shekau, who is believed to be in his 30s, began to stage increasingly daring kidnapping and killing raids on schools, churches and mosques thought by Boko Haram to be violating their interpretation of Islam.
The taking of over 200 schoolgirls in April 2014 brought Boko Haram into the international spotlight. By most accounts, Boko Haram has killed more than 10,000 people and is spreading into neighboring countries. Shekau’s latest action may finally summon a U.S. response: he has publicly aligned his group with ISIS, the terrorist group that holds territory in Syria and Iraq and has expanded its reach into Yemen and Libya.

US doctors discover a black woman in Maryland with two vaginas

According to media reports, doctors in Maryland, US, found a woman with a very unusual condition; she was born with two vaginas. The woman, described as black, has the vaginas side-by-side but only uses one - for sex. The other one, she's never used before, so that one is still considered a virgin. The lady told doctors that she menstruates out of both vaginas during her period.

Doctors performed a full medical exam on the woman and determined that both vaginas were fully functional and both or them lead to her single uterus, according to a report by MediaTakeOut. Aside from having two vaginas, everything else in the woman's anatomy is the same. See the photo - here

Photos: Man who promised to walk from Lagos to Abuja if Buhari wins, now in Niger

Article not written by me. It was given to me to share. Read below...
Suleiman Hashimu or ‘The traveller’ as I prefer to call him is an indigene of Katsina state, Funtua to be precise. He was born in Osun state but lives in Ibadan.
The traveler promised two years ago to walk from where ever he is to the capital of Nigeria, Abuja if General Muhammadu Buhari wins the election in 2015. BBC Hausa, Voice of America and Aminiya (a Hausa mgazine) interviewed him. He was in Lagos when Buhari was declared the President-elect of Nigeria. He left Lagos at about 5am the next day and arrived Ibadan around 6pm.
He went to get a police report to allow for the smoothness of his journey but couldn’t wait and so, the D.P.O. gave him his phone number. Despite several discouragement from friends and at the same time, inspiration from friends and loved ones; he continued from Ibadan to Oyo. Then from Oyo to Ogbomoso.; And from Ogbomoso to Ilorin with much hospitality at every stop.

At Ilorin, some people escorted him for some miles and he stopped at Oloru. Oloru, to border’n Sa’ada and then to Jebba. He received so much hospitality from Jebba and unlike other villages he met a lot of people who had heard of the traveller. About 20 people set off with him from Jebba and after some miles, about 18 went back but the remaining two where determined. They met with armed robbers close to Makwa and luckily, he already met one of them in Jebba and he even gave him 200 Naira for pure water. The robber told his colleagues that he was going to see Buhari and he gave him 2000 Naira and then slapped the two men with him.

He continued his journey from Mkwa to Kudu and then to Kutigi. He is currently in Kutigi and will continue his journey to Bida tomorrow by the grace of God.

I asked him about his encounter with the different people and he said it was remarkable. Actually he gets more determined to move on from the people. He was even treated like a King in a village in Niger.

They sang tribal songs he didn’t understand and travellers stop to provide him with food and company along the way. Most of them are familiar with him because they travel the same route daily. Sometimes up to 10 cars would stop to converse with him. News travelled with the public transports to different places on his route and people from several cities, towns and villages on his route would call to check up on him and inquire about his journey.

He doesn’t know for sure if Buhari knows of him but several of his support organizations do. He intends to reach Abuja by 27th of May and celebrate with the new president at his inauguration ceremony.

Why friends with benefits just doesn't work

To catch up on the series, read Love, sex, drama and self-discovery: The escapades of Violet Online.
When I first met my 'friend with benefits' he put his hand on my knee, looked me in the eye and asked me very seriously — 'Violet, do you know what you’re getting into here?'
'Of course,' I replied super confidently, crossing my legs, showing off my bare legs, my new shoes and a hint of underwear.
The idea of seeing this gorgeous man every now and again for great sex appealed to me. He wasn’t the marrying kind. There would be no strings attached, no rules, just fun.
I liked the idea of 'no strings'.
And for the next few weeks it was wonderful.  We’d see each other once a week, sometimes twice.  It was exciting, we never spoke about the weather and the sex was fantastic. We were friends, there was never tension, it was easy.
He had made it clear from the beginning though — 'This is not about love, Violet'.  He’d also made it clear that in-between seeing one another there would be 'no questions'.
'Anything else I do is not your issue. I may be with another man or a woman, but that is not your problem'.
'Yes',  I’d said, rolling my eyes.  'I know that'.
I had thought - Jeez, this man is arrogant — but it kinda suited me.
Also, I didn’t think he would be with anyone else. I am enough for one man.
Slowly we also started meeting for the odd lunch, or coffee too, and while we didn’t talk about the weather it wasn’t only about sex.
I was starting to fall in love.
One night I suggested he get me a toothbrush to keep in his bathroom.  He gave me an Airline toothbrush, from one of his business trips.
Another day I suggested a dog walk.  He declined politely saying 'That’s not really my thing, Violet'.
And when I suggested spooning after three orgasms he smiled and said, 'I’m just not the spooning kind, sweetheart'.
Oddly I had never been the spooning kind either. But suddenly I wanted to spoon.
I ended the relationship. I could see it was never going to go anywhere. One party always falls in love. One party always wants more. One party was going to get heartbroken and it was not going to be him.
When I think back, I’m not sure how I ever thought it would work. But maybe it’s worked for you? Tell me. I’d love you to share your stories.

Can caffeine shampoo cure baldness?

About 70 percent of men suffer from male pattern baldness (MPB) and hair loss is one of the things men dread most about getting older. (The other great fear is impotence.)
To most men a full head of hair is a sign of health, youthfulness and virility, and the first signs of hair loss along the sides of the forehead and on the crown of the head can cause strong reactions like depression, social withdrawal, loss of self-esteem – and in extreme cases even suicide.
Women are affected by hair loss to a much lesser degree than men, but it can lead to similar problems like depression and loss of self-confidence.
There are thousands of home remedies to cure baldness, some of which are quite weird. Many of these involve rubbing the excrement of some kind of animal – like cow or pig dung – on the balding pate. However, these “boererate” have a very limited success rate.
A new discovery by a German scientist may change all of that . . .
Dr Adolf Klenk
A leading international expert in hair loss, Dr Adolf Klenk, recently paid a visit to promote his discovery that caffeine stimulates hair growth.
Dr Klenk, an employee of a German "cosmeceutical" company, the Dr Wolff Group, discovered that caffeine protects hair roots against hereditary and menopausal hair loss in men and women respectively, and facilitates growth. Based on this discovery the Wolff group produces caffeine-based shampoos for men and women.
A study by the Institute for Dermatology at Lübeck University which was published in the British Journal of Dermatology found that found that caffeine promotes hair follicle growth by influencing important proteins that regulate cell growth.
How does it work?
The study found that in both men and women the caffeine counteracts the growth inhibitory effect of testosterone (the “male” hormone) on hair roots and stimulates growth.
Watch: the interview with Dr Adolf Klenk to learn more about his "cure" for baldness.
