Retired Police Inspector and his wife shot dead by suspected robbers (PHOTOS)

A retired police Inspector and his wife were shot dead on Saturday morning by suspected armed robbers, while they were on their way back to Taraba State after the NKST Church World-wide Choir conference held at Jaki, Kwande LGA of Benue State on Friday.

Speaking to IDOMAVOICE, an eyewitness Iorsalen Terver,  said:

"I stopped at Gawa at about 8:14 this morning to buy some foodstuffs on my way to Bali to buy yams when some young men walked to men saying its better to get the yams in the evening when the market is closing.
"Little did I know I was the target. Pushing me to hit the road so they can waste me... Oh God.. The pastor arrived shortly with a Toyota picnic. They bought yams I even helped to negotiate with the seller. We took off the same time before I stopped to excrete. Just seconds we heard gun shots and that was how they wasted this couple"

Ben Dizwa, who confirmed the sad incident, identified the pastor as Mr. Joseph Tsafa, a retired police inspector who was one of the participant from NKST Nachi-Bali Classis in Taraba State. According to his Facebook post:
"He left the event venue with his wife, Cecilia Tsafa, the woman leader (Kwase-hemen) of NKST Nachi-Bali Consistory women Fellowship, and Atese Anum (a pastor's wife) on Friday evening for Zakibiam where they stayed through the night. Early this morning,(Saturday) the couple set out for Bali LGA of Taraba State where they are based. In Katsina-Ala, they assisted two women who were heading towards their direction making their number, five in the vehicle.
"At about 9am on Saturday morning of 3rd December, 2016, they passed a place called Gidan Gawa along Katsina-Ala —Takum road in Taraba State. There is a portion of road that is terribly bad that vehicles must slow down to avoid accident or damage, so they also slowed down. Strangely, some armed young men came out of the bush and ordered them to stop and they simply obeyed. The came forth and demanded for money from Mr Tsafa.
"What really happened that led to a gun shot could not be ascertained by even eye witness but it is thought that the man had no enough money for them having stay away for nearly two weeks which they become annoyed and shot him still on the steering. The bullet shot at the man penetrated and also killed his wife who was seated in the front seat. The remaining three persons who were seated at the back seat were not shot, they were searched and valuables taking away from them. As I write, the corpses of the couple has been deposited at a mortuary in Zakibiam, Ukum LGA."

Nollywood actress Shirley Igwe reveals her bra size
In a funny interview, actress Shirley Igwe revealed her bra cup and also disclosed she takes her bath three times a day. She also hinted on the man she's presently dating. Her words:
“My bra cup is 42c. I shower three times a day and I brush after a meal. That’s the much I can say."
The actress also hinted that she is in a very serious relationship that may get her into the next level, but declined on the identity of the lucky man, owning up as much that he is not an actor and explained why she can’t date an actor.

“I would want someone with a different profession. Not like one can’t fall in love and marry an actor. If I wasn’t with my man now, I would be hoping to marry someone with a different profession. Marrying an actor has its advantages because he would understand your work unlike someone who is not an actor. Even at that, it’s not enough reason for me to marry a man because he understands. I see my fellow actors as colleagues.”

Tinubu and other top men Set to Move to another party

Barring any last-minute change of plans, a new proposed mega opposition party in the country will be formed in the next few months, before the end of next quarter.

It was gathered that the Ahmed Makarfi faction of the PDP and aggrieved chieftains of the APC had intensified efforts aimed at forming the party since the result of the Ondo State election.

Findings showed that besides the plan to form a new mega party, those involved in the talks were also considering adopting any of the existing political parties as their platform.

Those who are participating in the talks are, former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and a national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

A PDP chieftain, who confided in Punch, said with what happened in Ondo, it had become obvious that the Muhammadu Buhari administration was not ready to relinquish power despite the fact that it had no solution to the economic recession in the country.

The source said, “The mega party is still at a formative stage but I can tell you we are making steady progress.

“With what happened in Ondo, you will agree with me that the cabal around the President, including a governor from the North-Central, and some ministers, have hijacked the party structure.

“They have shown more than once that they want to frustrate Tinubu and Atiku out of APC. These are tested politicians, who have no plans of retiring any time soon.

“The picture will become clearer before the end of the first quarter of next year (March 2017) because some of our people believe that if we come out now, the cabal will use executive powers to frustrate us. Others feel it is better to let Nigerians know but our leaders are meeting at home and abroad. We are waiting for them.”

Investigations showed that those involved in the talks were aware of the Federal Government’s plot to thwart the groups’ plan to form a new mega party, informing the plan of the groups to adopt any of the existing parties and uplift it to a mega status.

Another PDP chieftain, who confided in Punch, said, “We are working on the plan to form a mega party, but we may adopt any of the existing parties, if the government thwarts our efforts.”

For Rabiu Kwankanso, it was gathered that the former governor had almost been pushed out of APC by his successor, Abdullahi Ganduje.

“Kwankanso is going to be part of the new arrangement because for now, he is only a fringe member of the APC,” the PDP source added.
